How to use fresh ginger in a smoothie

This is my kick-ass smoothie. It is designed to blast away any nasties that might be trying to bring you down. I am using a powerful dose of fresh ginger along with dried turmeric. Both of these warming spices are exceptional anti-oxidants.

This is super simple to make. It’s a fresh chutney rather than a strongly preserved one. I am only using a hint of coconut sugar in it, while allowing the rest of the sweetness to come from the mango. Using freshly grated ginger.

My favourite squash soup recipes with fresh ginger

Ginger lends itself perfectly to this roast cashew & squash soup. It has a beautiful silken earthiness amidst the other ingredients. With ginger, coriander, roast garlic and squash, it creates an exciting feast of gently sweet, aromatic and delectable deliciousness.

How to use fresh ginger in tea

First of all you definintely want to finely grate your ginger (see video at top of page). This allows the flavours to infuse throughout your tea. Finely grating also unleashes so much more of the goodness, faster.

  1. Simply infuse the ingredients in a pan.
  2. Bring to the boil.
  3. Simmer for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Strain.
  5. Enjoy!
