I am delighted to announce that I will be holding a New Year Conscious Kitchen Retreat near Glastonbury, England in January 2024.

As always, this will be a truly special, and uplifting event. In a peaceful, fun environment, this Conscious Kitchen Retreat is all about inspiring you in the kitchen, using healthy, compassionate, plant-based ingredients. During this new year retreat, there will be a special focus on creating healthy habits and how to stay inspired in the kitchen. We will be holding special sessions to help you harness healthy goals for the year and stick with them.

You’ll take away new ideas and tips for bringing delicious plant-based food into your own daily life.

The venue is located 15 minutes from Glastonbury, near Wedmore. It’s only a 30-minute drive from Bristol airport.

Accommodation is very comfortable and is limited to 5 or 6 guests.

What will we be doing on retreat?

Making food from the heart

Over the course of the retreat, we shall create a delicious medley of nurturing feel-good winter foods, super healthy vegan bakes, a curry night medley (a whole different medley to previous retreats), winter sunshine salad bowls, gluten-free vegan cake, gluten-free vegan bread, and other plant-inspired cuisines. We will enjoy abundant meals together and make some food to take home.

  • Incredibly delicious curry night medley workshop

In the curry night workshop, you will learn how to make super healthy curries, dals and fresh chutney. If you’ve made curry with me before, please know this is NEW menu and will be different.

  • Winter Salads

We shall enjoy a special session to learn the art of making whole complete winter salad meals in a bowl for lunch. This session includes make-ahead food ideas to keep in your fridge all week long. We’ll be making nutritious cooked items along with slaws and dips. There will be a focus on warming, hearty ingredients, along with a mixture of hot, warm and cold items.

  • Winter soup & stew making masterchef

This is a fun session where we will learn the art of winter soup and stews made with whatever ingredients you have available… and then in a fun ‘soup masterchef’ game, we will put it all to the test.

  • Gluten-free vegan bread and cake making

I will be showing you how to make delicious gluten-free vegan bread and baked cakes. I use healthy, affordable, wholesome ingredients (that are not super obscure). This is the first time I have decided to do this on retreat. These are exceedingly good and you wouldn’t even know that they are GF V at all.

  • Everyday superfood smoothie masterclass

Using a variety of ingredients including fruit and everyday superfoods, we’ll uncover the magical alchemy of making the best smoothies. This is a fun and delicious session where we will look at things you have very likely never thought of.

  • Feel-good gluten-free vegan dinner-making class

You will learn how to make a delicious baked gluten-free vegan dinner. Think mouth-watering medley of deliciousness… but easy! Not only is this sort of thing exceedingly healthy, but it is also very tasty and loved by people no matter what they are used to eating. Easy when you know how to.

 

Retreat timings

We gather from 5pm on Friday 5th January and finish after breakfast on Monday 8th.

On the first evening, you will be served a delicious meal, with time to meet other guests and settle yourself in before starting our workshops the following morning.

Cost with accommodation included

The price includes accommodation, all meals, and a full schedule of plant-inspired food-making classes within a small group.
